• Work 3x12 day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
• Care for ED boarder patients with medical-surgical telemetry needs awaiting bed placement
• Patient ratios : 4 : 1 during days and weekends, 5 : 1 during nights
• Float requirement to units of equivalent or lower acuity level
• Must have 2 years of MS / Tele or Cardiac Telemetry experience
• Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, vasoactive drip management, and wound care
• Care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Work in 44-room, 52-bed unit with daily census of 125 patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
