Job Summary :

We’re hiring an experienced Roadway Foreman to lead daily operations for road construction projects. This role oversees crews, equipment, and materials to harmonize , raise and build roads, curb and gutter to prepare for asphalt and concrete, efficiently, and up to spec. The right candidate brings strong leadership, field experience, and a deep understanding of roadway construction and DOT standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Oversight

  • Supervise crews and subcontractors on grading, paving, drainage, and traffic control tasks
  • Assign daily work, manage crew productivity, and ensure safety compliance
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate crew performance

Project Execution

  • Interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor scheduling
  • Monitor job progress and inspect work for quality and compliance

    • Safety & Documentation

  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce PPE use
  • Maintain logs for labor, equipment, materials, and progress
  • Report incidents and communicate issues to superintendents or project managers

    • Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of road construction experience, 2+ years in a foreman role
  • Proficient in reading plans and grading stakes
  • Knowledge of DOT standards and traffic control
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience operating or supervising heavy equipment
  • Familiarity with GPS layout and machine control
  • Strong time management and crew leadership

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Lift up to 50 lbs, walk, stand, or operate equipment for extended periods
