Job Description
We are seeking two (2) Child Watch Team Members to support our upcoming staffing needs. These roles help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children while their parents or guardians use the facility. Child Watch team members work under the direction of the Youth Development Director.
Available Shifts
We are hiring two part-time roles with the following coverage needs :
Morning Shift
- Monday–Friday
- 8 : 30 AM – 11 : 30 AM
Afternoon / Evening Shift
Monday–Thursday4 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 PMCandidates may apply for either shift. Please indicate if you are applying for one or both, and whether you are interested in part-time or a potential full-time option.
Opportunities for Full-Time Employment
There is potential for a full-time position for candidates interested in lifeguarding in addition to Child Watch.
Possible full-time combinations include :
Morning Child Watch + Afternoon LifeguardAfternoon Child Watch + Morning LifeguardSplit shift (Morning + Afternoon Child Watch) with additional Lifeguard shifts to reach full-time hoursTraining and certification information can be provided for candidates interested in expanding into lifeguarding roles.

At least 16 years of ageExperience working with youth preferredReliable, dependable, and detail-orientedCPR / AED / Basic First Aid certified (YMCA will provide training)Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodationSuccessful completion of a criminal background check (paid for by the YMCA)Employee Perks

$16.00 – $17.00 per hour , depending on experience.
