Director, Responsible Sourcing And Supplier Inclusion

This is your chance to be part of our in-house Hilton Supply Management (HSM) team that supports our brands, owners, and operators. HSM has transformed how supply chain and procurement adds value to the hospitality industry, with 6 billion dollars of spend influence, over 2000 suppliers, and support of sustainability, supplier diversity, and responsible sourcing goals. As a Director, Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Inclusion, you will support the team in partnering with all our brands and helping influence and guide programs with unique and distinctive products and services. On the HSM Americas team reporting to Vice President, HSM Food & Beverage, you will work on projects including support for Hilton's environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives by globally driving sustainable, responsible, inclusive and ethical sourcing practices throughout HSM's supply chain.

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. What your day-to-day will be like :

  • Lead HSM's sustainability efforts including supporting technologies, sourcing process improvements, external reporting, and status dashboard requirements, and partnership with HSM's suppliers to help improve sustainability efforts.
  • Collaborate with all brands to review brand standards that impact responsible sourcing.
  • Partner with Hilton's ESG teams and regional HSM partners to better engage with purchasing colleagues and bring to life country, regional, and global Travel with Purpose 2030 goals.
  • Lead regional and global communication on responsible sourcing trends and share leading practices between colleagues to carry on the momentum and positive change.
  • How you will collaborate with others :

  • Work with Category Managers to form close relationships with high-value and high-risk supply partners to help build improvements and efficiencies in responsible sourcing.
  • Build relationships with internal partners in HSM, Brands, Operations, and ESG to ensure understanding of program goals including their role in successful execution.
  • Represent HSM with external partners including industry alliances, activists, and other concerned 3rd parties to ensure their understanding of progress on external goals and commitments.
  • What deliverables you will take ownership of :

  • Achieve Hilton's Responsible Sourcing goals including Source with Purpose which is HSM's global strategy to advance positive impact across the supply chain.
  • Promoting responsible sourcing of beef, poultry, pork, eggs, seafood and produce from 3rd party recognized / certified suppliers.
  • Expand and inclusively source within our communities.
  • To support Hilton's Travel with Purpose goals, lead sourcing with 3rd parties associated with waste reduction, water conservation, and energy efficiency.
  • You have these minimum qualifications :

  • Six (6) years of Supply Management, Procurement or Sustainability experience
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Experience with sustainable sourcing and governance leading practices
  • Travel up to 25%
  • It would be useful if you have :

  • Hospitality experience
  • Experience using the Ecovadis platform
