Job Description

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a high-performing clinical team in a busy outpatient care setting. This is a confidential search for a premier clinic dedicated to patient-centered care and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient support, including triage, taking medical histories, vitals, and specimen collection .
  • Perform point-of-care testing , phlebotomy, and assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare and administer medications or injections after verifying correct dosage following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) , documenting patient visits, test results, and follow-up instructions.
  • Educate patients on medications, treatments, and discharge care plans.
  • Follow strict infection control procedures , including equipment sterilization and room sanitation.
  • Conduct occupational health tasks such as drug screen collections, DOT / non-DOT physicals, and breath alcohol testing per current guidelines.
  • Support front-office operations when needed, including scheduling, patient check-in, and responding to phone inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA , and all regulatory standards for patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program, or equivalent experience and MediClear certification (or equivalent) - required.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, urgent care, or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of professional medical practices, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High degree of initiative, organization, and teamwork.
