Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with an active AK RN license, at least 2 years of experience, and BLS / ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care hospitalLevel II Trauma and Magnet-designated hospital environmentDay shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 to 17 : 00)On-call required 1 day per week and every 4th / 5th weekend (Friday 1800–Monday 0730)Weekend coverage includes on-call and approximately 1 Saturday per monthExpected to float within scope to the EP or IR if neededEpic EMR is used and experience is requiredScrubs are providedRelocation radius rule applies—candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facilityNo local candidates acceptedResponsible for circulating and monitoring in the Cath Lab and assisting with specialized cardiac proceduresMay float to other units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as neededTime off is limited; only one time off request per 13-week assignment may be submitted and must be approved upon offerTravelers are expected to work two of the three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New YearPre-employment and annual module completion is requiredTravelers can only work for up to 1 calendar year and must take a minimum 6-month break before returningFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFree parking is available for all staffRequirements
Active AK RN license required for considerationCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years recent Cath Lab nursing experience requiredExperience charting with Epic EMR requiredMinimum of 2 supervisory references from comparable specialty / settings within the last 3 yearsOnly candidates with current permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility will be consideredMust provide proof of Hepatitis B vaccination (titer or declination not accepted)Returning staff must have a 3-month separation before returning as a travelerBenefits
