Under the guidance supervision of the Manager and Rehabilitation Services Staff, provide assistance to the staff in the provision of Physical and Occupational Therapy services / Cast Room to the Hospital's inpatients and / or outpatients in conformance with the instruction of the therapist and policies of this department and New England Baptist.
Principal Duties And Essential Functions :
1. Performs daily clerical / office duties as assigned by inpatient rehab services staff, including but not limited to :
2. Sorts all rehab services incoming and outgoing mail for appropriate distribution to staff.
3. Provides support to therapists on patient floors by assisting with non-license required tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to :
4. Provides delegated treatments of routine specific exercises (initiated by therapist in prior treatment) to NEBH patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, or a physical therapist assistant. Completes note in the electronic medical record that is dated and timed.
5. Reports patient response to treatment in a timely manner to the primary therapist.
6. Sanitizes all rehab equipment after patient use in accordance with hospital policy.
7. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
8. Assists with delivery of durable medical equipment (DME) to patients for discharge home when DME company rep is not working.
9. Utilizes time in a productive manner and able to effectively prioritize patient care and non-patient care responsibilities.
10. Responsible for reading email, written communications, staff meeting minutes, hospital and applicable Policy and Procedures and other essential work-related communication.

Performs other related duties as required. Attends annual safety review. Arrives and leaves at designated times.
Education : High School Graduate or Equivalent
Licensure / Certification / Registration : Required : Heart Saver

Pay Range : $18.00 - $24.30
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
