Security Professional - Access Control Driver

As a Security Professional - Access Control Driver in Watsonville, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will focus on access control, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible throughout the location to provide reassurance and support. You will also deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, embodying Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture. This post may require driving as part of your daily duties.

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the healthcare facility, permitting entry only to authorized individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures and protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals and coordinating with medical and emergency personnel.
  • Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to company and client standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and / or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or incidents.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
