Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $1,701 per week in Charleston, SC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Medical Surgical Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Experience : Minimum 1 year experience in medical surgical License : South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Experience in medical surgical settings. Experience with electronic medical record systems. Ability to manage patient care for adult and geriatric populations. Ability to float within the facility as needed. Description : Unit provides care for adult patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. Unit consists of 12 beds for patients needing inpatient stays due to both medical and mental health issues. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 3 on the medical-surgical side and 1 : 4 on the behavioral health side. When fully staffed, there is support from additional nursing and patient care technicians. Unit operates with a holiday rotation and requires weekend coverage every other week. All staff may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Travelers should be aware of this and avoid confirming assignments during hurricane season. The facility is a Level I trauma center and a teaching facility. The environment features opportunities for interdisciplinary support and collaboration. Patient care teams include various support services such as physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.
