Description :

The Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership to ensure the mission, vision, and values of the organization are supported through clinical services.

Participates in planning, organizing, directing, and facilitating the clinical operations of the household.

Ensures regulatory compliance while nurturing a person-centered and resident-directed culture.

Promotes individual and team learning within the household.

Provides professional licensed nursing assessments and evaluations to each resident.

Coordinates care with other nursing staff in the household.

Provides leadership to clinical staff in specific areas of clinical accountability, which may include infection control, safety, wound management, and other areas determined by nursing leadership.

Guides the implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient practices.

Assures that documentation, medication administration, and nursing care are in compliance with facility and government standards.

Guides household clinical staff to support organizational financial viability through the efficient and effective use of resources.

Maintains staffing patterns consistent with the organization’s philosophy and objectives.

Fosters collaboration, consensus, and negotiation to address problem-solving within the household.

Maintains professional working relationships with physicians and other medical professionals.

Demonstrates and nurtures care practices for persons with dementia that promote individualized person-centered care and a sense of well-being.

Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
