Human Resource Manager

Location : Corporate Office, Scottsbluff, NE

Travel : Occasionally to plant sites

Employment Type : Full-time, Exempt

Compensation : $80,000 to $110,000 plus annual bonus based on experience

We're a trusted, family-oriented ag business with 25 locations across nine states, dedicated to serving our customers and communities through integrity, innovation, and teamwork. Our success depends on our people and we're looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to help us continue to grow and strengthen our team across all locations.

Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager plays a key leadership role in managing HR operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting a positive workplace culture throughout our multi-state footprint. This position partners with company leaders and plant managers to provide strategic HR guidance in staffing, employee relations, training, benefits, and compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of HR across 25 locations in nine states.
  • Partner with site and regional managers to assess staffing needs and support workforce planning.
  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives for both full-time and seasonal employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor regulations (EEO, FMLA, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
  • Serve as the go-to resource for employee relations, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer compensation, payroll, benefits, and HRIS processes.
  • Develop and deliver training for supervisors and employees on leadership, compliance, benefits, and policy.
  • Promote employee engagement, recognition, and development across all locations.
  • Supervise and develop the Payroll Clerk / HR Assistant to provide excellent payroll processing and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

What We're Looking For

Education : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and / or 5-8 years of progressive HR experience; at least 3 years in a multi-site or field-based role preferred.

Industry Knowledge : Background in agriculture, food processing, or manufacturing preferred.

Certifications : SHRM-CP or PHR required or an ability to attain quickly.

Skills : Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance; excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills; proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
