UPMC Children’s Hospital is hiring for our Sterile Processing Department in an evening shift role :

Second Shift, Monday–Friday

Includes every other weekend, holiday, and one summer / winter obligation

Training : 10–12 weeks on day shift to build confidence and readiness

️ Role Purpose

Train to perform all duties related to the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment—following strict procedures to ensure patient safety.

High school diploma / GED or equivalent with no experience

Grandfathered technicians (no certification) : Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually to remain qualified.
