Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships (Life Sciences)
The Director of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for driving sales expansion across FluoroFinder’s B2B portfolio, with a focus on advertising and technology solutions tailored to the Flow Cytometry and Fluorescence application market. This role will lead strategic account growth initiatives, build deep customer and partner relationships, and achieve ambitious revenue and bookings targets. In addition, the Director will manage and mentor a small team to scale growth efforts effectively.
Most importantly, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-spirited leader who can accelerate revenue by expanding our footprint and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue growth for strategic accounts, meeting and exceeding assigned sales and bookings targets.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account growth plans that drive adoption of FluoroFinder’s solutions and advertising offerings.
- Direct and lead pursuit of new opportunities within existing accounts and new prospects in the life sciences sector.
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels — from scientists to senior marketing executives.
- Deliver compelling, data-driven value propositions through strategic presentations and solution-based selling.
- Provide ongoing customer support to ensure client satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Lead contract negotiations, structuring deals that align with both customer needs and company goals.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and leadership teams to align growth strategies with company objectives.
- Manage sales pipeline rigorously, supporting processes such as monthly / quarterly operating reviews, annual revenue planning, and forecasting.
- Offer strategic insights into customer trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Management responsibilities : Lead, mentor, and develop a small sales and account team, setting clear objectives, providing coaching, and ensuring team success.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree or background in Science / Biology strongly preferred.8+ years of experience in the Life Sciences sector , with a track record of exceeding sales or growth targets.Experience selling or buying advertising offerings in scientific markets.Strong knowledge of the antibody reagent ecosystem and familiarity with research workflows.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account management processes with measurable outcomes.Demonstrated management or team leadership experience , with the ability to inspire and grow talent.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across technical and executive audiences.Highly data-driven, analytical approach to sales and growth strategies.Why Join Us?
