Reading Teacher

Overview

Reading Teacher role at Fulton County Schools. This position provides instruction for students to learn and demonstrate mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide content-related and appropriate instruction based on Fulton County's curriculum
• Create a classroom environment that promotes active learning in the subject area
• Demonstrate knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment
• Communicate responsibly with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership
• Monitor student attendance and punctuality
• Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
• Maintain professional ethics in all work-related activities
• Prepare adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent
• Collaborate with parents / guardians in all aspects of the student's educational program
• Facilitate home-school communication through conferences, telephone, and written communications
• Integrate appropriate technology into classroom instruction
• Avoid behaviors that detract from staff morale
• Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator
