Summer 2026 Internship : Interior Design Projects

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and / or company operations.

The Interior Design Projects Intern will be immersed in a variety of responsibilities around planning, monitoring, and executing office interior design projects. Roles and responsibilities will include but aren't limited to :

Interior Design Responsibilities :

Assist Interiors team with day-to-day activities and responsibilities

Assist in maintaining updated budgets, schedules, and status reports for a given project(s).

Assist with internal coordination and administration for contracts, purchase orders, change orders and new project requests.

Assist with updates on development program & project status on a bi-weekly basis suitable for executive level reviews.

Assist with scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services & participate in procurement and project cost estimates

Assist with monitoring project budget / cost-to-date against overall project budget.

Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Texas A&M University

University of Kansas

Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.

Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
