Job descriptionLovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque's Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines. Responsible for assisting in conducting medically prescribed therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. Provides non-clinical support services to the therapist to include but not limited to maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical support. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. HS Diploma or GED equivalent. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience. One (1) year of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient setting as a therapy technician.
