CDL A Driver - Cattle Hauler

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Cattle Hauler to transport livestock safely and efficiently between various locations. The Cattle Hauler will ensure the welfare of the animals during transit, adhere to transportation regulations, and maintain a high standard of care throughout the process. This role requires long-distance driving, attention to detail, and knowledge of cattle handling.

Key Responsibilities :

• Transport cattle to designated locations such as farms, auctions, or processing facilities.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cattle, minimizing stress and injury to the animals.
• Inspect the condition of cattle before and after transport to report any abnormalities or injuries.
• Adhere to all livestock transportation regulations, including animal welfare and biosecurity protocols.
• Monitor the health and well-being of the cattle during transport, including maintaining proper ventilation and temperature.
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure the truck and trailer are in good working order.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, maintenance, and transportation logs.
• Communicate with farmers, feedlots, and other stakeholders regarding delivery schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the truck and trailer after each haul.
• Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding livestock transport, including weight limits, route planning, and documentation.
