Overview
The Coordinator, Media Relations is a member of the Communications and Advancement Department, reporting directly to the Senior Manager and Press Secretary. The coordinator is responsible for developing a variety of messaging content for the League of Women Voters of the United States (501(c)(4)) and its sister organization, the League of Women Voters Education Fund (501(c)(3)). The Coordinator, Media Relations will support the organization’s national communications efforts, including press releases, media advisories, talking points, and remarks for principals. This role will support proactive media outreach and rapid response by maintaining media lists and press coverage. Working with senior leadership, the media coordinator will ensure consistent messaging across platforms and support media and public engagements.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000 annually.

The person in this position is primarily sedentary and may need to move about inside the office to access office machinery. The person must also be available to travel to news offices and events. Computers and other office productivity machinery are commonly used, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer, and printer.
