Maintenance Technician 1st shift

This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled tasks in a multi-craft environment, including welding, maintenance repair of mechanical light duty electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and interior / exterior tasks to the facility.

• Responsibilities
• Assist in the repair, maintenance and remodeling of plumbing and pipe fitting systems
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of lighting, hanging / removing electrical
• Performs rough and finish carpentry, ceiling and flooring. Also installs locks, closing devices to windows and doors. Prepares forms for cement laying and assists in cement finishing projects.
• Performs painting of interior and exterior building surfaces; prepares surfaces for painting, protects surrounding surfaces before paint. Uses a variety of methods to apply paint or other coverage materials such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Inspects assigned areas, corrects or reports safety hazards; cleans and maintains building grounds
• Operates and maintains a variety of hand and power tools and equipment related to tasks
• Observes safe work methods and uses safety equipment; secures worksites from safety hazards as necessary.
• Maintains basic records of work performed, and preventive maintenance
• Responsible for snow removal and application of salt for ice removal
• Change and install plant filtration, and maintain power washer R.O. System.
• Completes additional task as needed, and offers support to other departments if required

• Qualifications
• Education

High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience

2-4 years industrial maintenance experience, and knowledge of facility lay-out.

2-4 years welding experience.

• Physical Demands / Work Environment

Exposure to general plant conditions. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
