Production Manager
We are seeking a Production Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our manufacturing facility's operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring operational efficiency and on-time delivery of product. As the Tijuana Production Manager, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the Engineering, Sourcing and Operations teams to deliver appliances to customers on time. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and communication skills, with a deep understanding of production line management and manufacturing processes, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership and responsibility for factory operations, performance, and productivity
- Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met and enforced
- Actively manage daily operations including production planning and facilities management
- Coordinate with operations and supply chain to ensure inventory availability for production
- Hire, train, and supervise workers sufficient to meet output targets and quality standards
- Monitor and optimize costs, factory expenses, and production efficiency
- Implement efficient processes and a culture of continuous improvement
- Escalate potential production quality issues before shipments are impacted
- Oversee the acquisition, maintenance and repair of factory equipment and fixtures
- Provide ongoing updates on performance, KPIs, results, and key insights to the executive leadership team to support informed decision-making
- Take on additional projects, tasks, and opportunities as they arise
Required Experience & Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in a similar role as Production Manager or Assistant Production ManagerProven leadership in manufacturing environmentsExperience with manufacturing home appliances, refrigerators, or A / C systems is a plusDemonstrated ability to take initiative, apply critical thinking, and manage projects effectively while prioritizing tasks in alignment with company goalsProven ability to lead teams, solve operational problems, and improve processesExperience in fast-paced, hands-on environmentsExceptional communication and collaboration skillsProven ability to pivot quickly to new projects and ideasExperience managing risks against aggressive production timelines and strong risk judgementStrong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.Native-level proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking), or equivalent fluency demonstrated through professional experience.Strong English communication skills.Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.Logistics and Details
This is a full time position based in Tijuana, Baja California and includes salary, paid vacation time during typical federal holidays, and benefits. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Occasional travel may be required both domestically and internationally.
