From Your PASSION to Ours

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sr. Project Manager. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, justifying, coordinating, and following up on projects that focus on production growth and / or projects that optimize existing production and packaging lines.

From Your EXPERTISE to Ours

Key responsibilities for this position include :

• Develops project costing for budget review and approval.
• Prepares P&IDs, layouts, production time schedules, technical descriptions, function descriptions, value calculations, and selects appropriate bids, equipment, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Ensures activities and projects are started and completed within the set timetable.
• Maintains accurate and up to date project files and drawings.
• Identifies and corrects safety, ergonomic, and operational problems through proper design of equipment.
• Promotes inter-plant communication and provides technical support on an as-needed basis.
• Develops and distributes a monthly progress and project status report.
• Follows up with facility team leaders on continuous cost reduction and process improvement ideas.
• Displays a broad knowledge in dairy, equipment, and processes and continually updates knowledge to stay current on developments.
• Performs design work including researching data, conducting feasibility, and economic studies, and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards for assigned projects.
• Reads, analyzes, and interprets a variety of instructions, manuals, and procedures in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.
• Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meetings).
• Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required.
