Electric Market Settlement Analyst I / II

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for daily and monthly energy checkouts using internal processes and performing checkout processes with external entities. Responsible for tracking Montana-Dakota Utilities' day-to-day activities relating to generation and load entered into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator ("MISO") and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) energy markets. Complete monthly, quarterly and annual reports relating to energy accounting and the wholesale electric market.

The preferred work location for this position is Bismarck, ND, but we are open to considering any location within the North Dakota service territory.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a working knowledge of accounting theory and financial concepts at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or related field.
• One year's experience in utility or energy marketing or related functions.
