Staff Software Engineer - Developer Experience

Scale is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help shape the developer experience. The ideal candidate is someone who can design and develop automation frameworks and efficient workflows for the developer population at Scale. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated frameworks, feature testing, code promotion, code review, and documentation, among other expectations

What we are looking for :

• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Knowledge of build systems such as Bazel, Gradle, Maven or Make
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI or Github Actions
• Proficiency in database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Asana
• Strong leadership experience

Responsibilities :

Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Scale employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process, and confirm whether the hired role will be eligible for equity grant. Youll also receive benefits including, but not limited to : Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO. Additionally, this role may be eligible for additional benefits such as a commuter stipend.

$216,000 - $270,000 USD
