Job Description
Under the direction of the City Manager, assist the City Manager in assigned functions of management, administrative and clerical functions undertaken by the Office of the City Manager. Volunteers will be assigned duties based on their areas of interest. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :
Qualifications : Education : No educational requirement. Experience : No experience required. Licenses : No license requirement. Other : Must be at least fourteen (14) years of age. Must commit to volunteering at least ten (10) hours per month. Must maintain a positive attitude and represent the City of Lemoore in a positive manner. Must submit Livescan fingerprints. Knowledge of : Modern office methods, practices and procedures is desirable. Ability to : Perform clerical work; understand the organization and operation of the City and outside agencies; effectively prioritize and manage time; work independently; meet deadlines; keep organized; follow oral and written direction; operate standard office equipment; develop effective working relationships with the City Manager; peers and the public; and be punctual. Working Conditions : Environmental Conditions : Office environment; exposure to computer screens. Physical Conditions : Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; moderate or light lifting.
