Support Paraprofessional School Age Care (SAC) Program
Line of Supervision : School Age Care Coordinator, School Age Care Inclusion Manager, and the School Age Care Site Supervisor(s).

Schedule :
This position will start on August 25, 2025. Applicants must be able to work 8 : 00 am-4 : 00 pm, Aug. 25-29, 2025. September 2nd is the first day onsite with SAC participants.
Salary :
is $16.89 per hour according to the 2023-2025 salary schedule for district paraprofessionals. School Age Care employees are also eligible for a stipend through the Great Start Compensation Grant through the Department of Human Services. Stipends are based on the number of hours childcare staff work directly with children. Must attend professional development days set forth by the School Age Care Department.

Salary :
$16.89-$18.59 per hour according to the 2023-2025 salary schedule for district paraprofessionals.
Line of Supervision :
School Age Care Coordinator, School Age Care Manager, School Age Care Inclusion Manager, and the School Age Care Site Supervisor(s).
Primary function :
To assist the site supervisor(s) in providing a quality, age appropriate school age care program.
Qualifications :
Experience with children in group situations, good communication skills, high degree of flexibility. Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
Position Requirements Include :
Preferred 18+ years
Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students.
Assist in guiding children's behavior using a positive and consistent style.
Knowledge of and ability to implement emergency procedures.
Participate with children in activities.
Assist in supervising field trips.
Assist in supervising children's indoor and outdoor playtimes.
Work in groups to assist students with daily activities.
Must be able to work non-school days.
Enforce proper hand washing and sanitizing.
Ensure supplies and equipment are sanitized routinely.
CPR, First Aid, AED and CPI certified. (Preferred)
Must have had Mandated Reporting training. (Preferred)
Must attend monthly site meetings
Must be able to work non-school days.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements :
Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with caring for children
Frequent standing, walking, swimming, lifting waist to chest; lifting below waist; carrying stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, twisting / pivoting, reaching, simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation; feeling, talking, hearing & visual accommodation.
Exposure toweather, daily, when supervising children outdoors, and the ability to walk two (2) miles on uneven terrain.
Occasional sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crawling.
Energy to accomplish numerous tasks and processes.
Lift up to 20 lbs.
Engage with children on the floor in play areas.
Extended periods of standing when teaching or leading an activity.
Extended periods of sitting during meetings or deskwork.
Bending, stooping or sitting on the floor to perform classroom activities or to provide one- to-one assistance.
Ability to travel between buildings, within the buildings and work area
Position includes the need to respond to common inquiries or complaints from parents or members of the community.
Position requires the ability to work with interruptions, handle multiple tasks and organize and prioritize work assignments.
Position requires conflict resolution skills in dealing with students, and colleagues.
Position requires prioritizing work duties.
Working Conditions :
Work is primarily performed in a classroom environment, which typically includes moderate noise from students.
Work is often performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well.
