Basic Job Functions :
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Organize, track, and coordinate PM’s.
Manage and coordinate projects.
Support spare part inventories.
Schedule maintenance.
Coordinate with contractors and outside resources.
Minimum Requirements :
5 years of professional experience in a facilities management, manufacturing, or maintenance planning role.
Experience maintaining parts inventory and managing detailed maintenance schedules.
Experience serving as a liaison between maintenance and operations.
Preferences :
Strong commitment to Safety in all job aspects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Outstanding abilities in negotiation and relationship building.
Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
Proficiency in utilizing computer resources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
Knowledge of maintenance activities to an extent that allows successful planning of time, resources, and material.
Demonstrates understanding of what proactive means with regards to maintenance.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment.
