Tool & Die Manager

HiFyve is hiring a Tool & Die Manager in the Manufacturing industry in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN!

Salary: 90K - $115K

Shift: Days M-Th 6a-3p Fri 6a-noon

Location: Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the tool & die team, assigning work priorities and fostering skill development.
• Oversee the design, fabrication, modification, and repair of metal stamping tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support manufacturing needs and troubleshoot issues.
• Manage tooling inventory, procurement, and budget controls.
• Ensure tooling meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate tooling records, documentation, and reporting.
• Mentor and train team members to improve technical skills and safety awareness.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree a plus).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 7+ years of experience in metal stamping tool & die making.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, blueprint reading, and tooling fabrication.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control principles.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Hands-on expertise with both manual and CNC machining, tooling repairs, and quality inspections.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move frequently throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
• Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed work.
