Education & Outreach Mgr

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Under the general supervision of the Division Director, the Mi Via Education & Outreach Manager will oversee the operations of a statewide case management program serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through the Mi Via self-directed Medicaid Waiver. This position is responsible for supervising program managers and consultants to ensure compliance with state and federal Medicaid regulations, including oversight of documentation, participant contact standards, and the preparation of billing and data reports required for Medicaid reimbursement and program monitoring. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to : plan, implement, and evaluate program operations, supervise and support program managers and case management staff, maintain accurate and timely data and reporting systems, ensure compliance with all Mi Via program requirements, promote service quality and participant-centered practices across the program. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the Mi Via program delivers safe, informed, and equitable care to participants while meeting all regulatory and contractual obligations. Regular statewide travel is required with this position.

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Extensive knowledge of the services and resources for persons with Developmental Disabilities in New Mexico. Knowledge and experience managing information and referral database tools to assist individuals with disabilities to gain information on community resources. Experience ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines including record management and client contact as well as preparing billing and other data collection reports to funders. Experience working within Self-Directed service models including Mi Via. Experience developing successful collaborative relationships with state agencies and community organizations to build statewide capacity to support persons with disabilities.

This position requires regular statewide travel. Candidate for hire will be required to pass a background check with fingerprinting.

Monthly : $4,875.87 - $6,976.67
