We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter to join our team. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day carpentry work on remodeling projects, mentoring junior carpenters, and ensuring quality craftsmanship on every job. The Lead Carpenter will work closely with project managers and clients to deliver projects that meet Hanson Remodeling's high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on carpentry tasks including framing, trim, cabinetry, and finish work.
  • Lead and direct carpentry crews on job sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specifications.
  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior carpenters and apprentices.
  • Collaborate with project managers to review plans, troubleshoot issues, and maintain project schedules.
  • Uphold jobsite safety practices and compliance with building codes.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure craftsmanship meets company standards.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of remodeling techniques, building codes, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
