Job Overview :

We are seeking an over the road skilled Emergency Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs on emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to effectively use power tools and hand tools.

Duties :

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on fire apparatus and other emergency vehicles.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
• Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed

Experience :

Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role

Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems including electrical.

Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for repairs

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
