Description

Job Title : Talent Acquisition Partner

Reporting to : VP, People

Location : Remote (US or Canada) – EST time zone

  • Please note that while the majority of the work is conducted remotely for non-local team members, all team members are expected to be available to attend key on-site events / activities at our NYC hub 4 times per year. This includes things like onboarding, training , and team building - 'together days'. The onsite weeks are scheduled in advance and travel expenses for those in-person times are covered by the business.

  • The core working hours for this role are 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM EST Monday-Friday, however, as part of a global team, you'll be working closely with colleagues and candidates in the UK, which may require a slightly earlier start time on limited occasion. We support flexible working patterns to accommodate this.
  • Please note : if you are a morning person and actually prefer starting earlier (e.g. core hours 7 : 30-4 EST), that works too!
  • Salary : $72,000 - $80,000 USD

    About Us

Spektrix is a growing collection of creative problem solvers focused around the arts and technology whose mission is to help arts organizations be more successful. We’re doing this through a combination of cloud-based software and consultative customer support that empowers arts organizations to grow revenue, increase efficiency, and build stronger relationships with audiences. We are always looking for new ways to approach problems, share knowledge, and better serve our customers. You’d be joining a team of over 260, based across our New York, London and Manchester offices and working with over 750 arts organizations in North America (US + Canada), the UK, and Australia.

    Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate Talent Acquisition (TA) Partner to join our team!

The TA Partner is a key member of the People team, responsible for partnering with hiring managers across the business (North America + the UK) to identify, attract and acquire top talent that supports Spektrix success whilst ensuring a positive candidate experience and seamless transition from candidate to team member for new hires.

This isn't just a transactional recruitment role. You’ll operate as a true business partner to hiring managers across the business : from recruitment strategy to interviews, to offers, all the way through to start date - this is truly full cycle.  You'll also get to work on some exciting projects around events, employer brand and socials where you can get creative in how we attract direct candidates and build a pipeline.  If you're excited about what we're doing and want to have a positive and long lasting impact, keep reading!

    Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will :

  • Proactively partner with hiring managers to understand talent acquisition needs (current and emerging), offering guidance on recruitment strategies and process planning
  • Utilize effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates, e.g. crafting clear and compelling job adverts, utilizing industry relevant job boards, conducting including direct sourcing + outreach (e.g. LinkedIn), attending hiring events, etc.
  • Review applications, conduct phone screens, schedule hiring team interviews, gather feedback, facilitate next steps and follow-ups
  • Utilize Applicant Tracking System effectively to move through recruitment stages, maintain up-to-date data for accurate tracking and reporting reporting and tracking
  • Manage pre-boarding process : drafting formal offer letters and employment contracts, background checks, welcome emails, system inputs, scheduling first day orientation
  • Train and advise hiring managers on all processes related to recruitment
  • Monitor and report on key recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, etc.) and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Partner with recruitment agencies where needed
  • Work on projects related to our employer brand including hosting events, attending conferences, and other exciting initiatives
  • Key Requirements

    You should have :

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written

  • Full cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated understanding of the end to end talent acquisition process
  • Experience managing Applicant Tracking System(s) and utilizing sites and tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. for sourcing and job posting. We use Pinpoint but would love to hear what your favorite tools are!
  • Experience conducting candidate interviews with the ability to simultaneously assess skills / talent for role match while also positively representing the company
  • Knowledge of hiring practices and regulations within at least one of our countries of operation (US, UK, CAN), and willingness to learn across the others and additional regions as we continue to grow.
  • A keen ability to develop trusting relationships across all levels of the business and 'influence without authority'
  • Strong technical aptitude with high degree of proficiency in tools such as Google Sheets, Docs, Excel, etc. and other web based applications
  • Ability and comfort maintaining sensitive / highly confidential information
  • About you :

  • You’re a doer - you are start-driven and able work autonomously but also enjoy collaborating with others when needed
  • You won’t be phased when you need to juggle competing deadlines and adapt to changing priorities - you can prioritize projects and organize your time effectively
  • You're comfortable and confident with sourcing using platforms such as LinkedIn to reach out to potential candidates
  • You are curious and open to new perspectives and ideas, but are also comfortable
  • challenging the status quo where needed
  • We know that many people tend to shy away from 'challenging', especially early on - this is totally normal! Your manager is happy to offer some extra support and guidance in this area, especially early on, as you develop relationships and find your groove here. It's all about balance.

  • You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and change in a fast moving, growing professional environment
  • You'd be excited to join a mission driven B Corp!
  • You'll champion fair, equitable and inclusive recruitment practices
  • You’d enjoy the opportunity to work with and influence senior stakeholders and have the ability to build trust and credibility
  • You’ve got a growth mindset - always curious about finding a better way to do things
  • Benefits

  • Company paid medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Generous Paid Time Off benefits, including :

  • 21 days of PTO (vacation, personal time, whatever you choose to use it for)
  • 14 paid holidays
  • 10 Paid Sick Days
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Company-paid Life Insurance
  • Two paid volunteering days per year
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Flexible working with support for WFH setup / equipment
  • Month-long Paid Sabbatical after 5 years of service
  • Free snacks, drinks and breakfast items in our offices
  • Catered lunch at the NYC office every Thursday
  • Varied range of regular social activities throughout the year
  • Work From Home Details

While many Spektrix team members live near one of our offices (NYC, London, or Manchester), remote / non-local team members work from home most of the time, and all team members work from home at least some of the time!

We provide reasonable support and all the hardware you need to get started, but we do require that you have the have the following in place to work from home :

  • A quiet working space at home where you can consistently take video calls without interruption
  • A strong, reliable internet connection that supports your participation in video calls and access to our systems and service
  • Working At The Office

  • For team members who are 'local' to NYC, a stipend is offered for each day you work on-site. Think of it as our way of easing potential commute related costs (but no need to prove it - this is a perk we offer for days worked onsite, regardless of how you choose to get there).
  • For remote-based team members (‘non local’), Spektrix covers all work related travel expenses directly. Flights, hotels for overnight stays, etc. are paid for through our work travel tool, TravelPerk, and / or reimbursed through an expense report where applicable.

    Equal Opportunities

Spektrix is an equal opportunity employer. We recruit regardless of race, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability status and look to employ from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. Studies show that women do not apply for roles unless they meet 100% of the requirements, whereas men apply when they meet at least 60% of the requirements. At Spektrix, we know that there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. Spektrix is committed to creating an inclusive work environment, where our team members are supported in expressing themselves and delivering their best work. So however you identify and whatever background you bring with you, please apply if this is a role that would make you excited to come into work every day.

Diversity in the workplace is hugely important to our working environment and to enable both individuals and Spektrix to thrive. By valuing each person’s differences we enable each person to contribute their unique experiences, strengths and viewpoints. Workplace diversity is something we aim to achieve and maintain at Spektrix, and we are pursuing a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and work in.  We aim to reflect this diversity in all departments and at all levels of seniority in the business, right up to the board. In an effort to help us reduce bias, please do not include a photo on your resume or application.

  • Important Notice : We are aware that there have been scammers with malicious intentions utilizing misleading domains that may look similar to ours. Please be advised that all legitimate communications from Spektrix will come only from  "@spektrix.com" or "@pin-point.email" email domains .  Any others are not legitimate emails from Spektrix, and we strongly advise against sharing any personal details with them.
  • At Spektrix, our mission is to provide arts organisations with the best possible chance of success. We do this by combining cloud-based technology with expert support and training consultancy, helping our clients grow their audiences and increase revenue. We’re confident that Spektrix is the most forward-thinking ticketing, marketing and fundraising solution around.

We know that the best software is user-friendly and intuitive, so we’ve built every bit of Spektrix with usability in mind. Everything in the system is quick to learn and easy to use, whether you’re a Box Office Manager, Marketing Assistant or Fundraising Director. Technology is constantly evolving — to keep up with the pace we release daily upgrades so the 500+ organisations we work with (and their audiences) never have to wait for the newest and most innovative features.

Everything we do is about making our users’ lives easier, so everyone gets unlimited support and consultancy to get the most out of Spektrix.
