Job Description
StreamlineVRS is looking for a System Administrator / DevOps with extensive PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud and Kubernetes experience. In this role you will work in close cooperation with the development teams. You will be responsible for smooth and reliable operation of the developer and production environments in the Cloud.
What You'll Do (Functions & Responsibilities)
Maintenance, configuration, deployment and reliable operation of computer systems, network services, and virtualization
Management of virtual servers in the Cloud, integration and automation of CI / CD processes
Management of Hi-Load PostgreSQL database clusters, responsibility for capacity, storage planning and performance thereof
Management of Kubernetes clusters and local Docker development environments
Management of NoSQL databases : Redis, AWS ElastiCache
Management of other AWS services
Management of CloudFlare CDN, DNS and caching services
Monitoring and observability with Zabbix, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana
Troubleshooting of hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Regular backup and archiving operations, implementation of data protection processes, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Documenting system administration practices
Installation and upgrade of computer components and software
Technical support of the development team
Qualifications
What We're Looking For (Minimum qualifications)
10 years of system administration experience with strong preference for UNIX / Linux
5 years of network administration experience, IPv4 and IPv6 services
2 years of microservice, containerization and CI / CD experience, Kubernetes preferred
AWS certification at least AWS Cloud Practitioner level, AWS Sysop / Architect preferred
PostgreSQL certification at least "Professional" level, "Expert" level preferred
3 years of experience with High Load applications and clusterization
3 years of experience with server automation tools, Ansible preferred
Ability to travel to the U.S. / Mexico.
Soft Skills : Teamwork, Problem-solving skills, Good Communication, Adaptability, Attention to detail, Proactive, Time management.
Open to work with a team distributed between different time zones.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
DBA courses (PostgresSQL / Oracle) and certification for Professional level.
AWS certification
Kubernetes certification on the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) level or above
