Job description

Akkodis is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator / Business Admin (prior financial reporting experience is key) for a full-time role on our dedicated team near Dearborn, MI. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Coordinator / Admin to support our large onsite Engineering team with an automotive OEM. This role is essential to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, efficient project coordination, and timely procurement of parts and materials. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced technical environment and work closely with engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support the development and validation of automotive embedded systems.

Pay Range : Up to $60,000 / yr (salary commensurate based on experience and education levels).

Project Coordinator / Business Admin job responsibilities include :

Procurement & Inventory Management

  • Order and track parts, equipment, and supplies needed for testing and validation.
  • Maintain inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of critical components.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal purchasing teams to resolve order issues.

Project Coordination

  • Assist in scheduling and tracking project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Support documentation and reporting for ongoing engineering projects.
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams, feature owners, and external partners.
  • Administrative Support

  • Manage team calendars, meetings, and logistics.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, notes, and action items.
  • Support onboarding of new team members and maintain team documentation.
  • Operational Efficiency

  • Help streamline workflows and improve administrative processes.
  • Support compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining test benches and lab environments.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Business administration degree is helpful, though not required.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience.
  • Proven experience directly associated with financial reporting utilizing MS Excel while supporting a medium to large team is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with procurement systems and inventory tracking tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with automotive engineering or embedded systems is a bonus, but not required.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Stellar interpersonal skills.
