Minnesota Prairie County Alliance is seeking a child protection / child welfare supervisor with solid skills, experience, and knowledge in the areas of assessment, investigation, screening, intake, safety plan development, family engagement, collaboration, and communication. It is essential the candidate is able to demonstrate the willingness and ability to use a cultural lens related to the work with families. The most successful candidate will have an open learning posture, experience / knowledge with Signs of Safety and team decision making consultation, exceptional communication skills, and possess an advanced ability to partner and engage with families for the most successful outcomes.

Child and Family Social Services Supervisor, Steele Site Salary range : $73,300 $110,800 annually Full-Time, exempt position The Child and Family Social Services Supervisor will be a member of the Child and Family Services Division performing social work and program consultation within a leadership team directing child welfare practice and services (child protection, child welfare, children's mental health, educational stability, licensing, permanency) and supporting and supervising staff across multiple sites. This division has a primary orientation to engaging families and their support networks into partnerships to help ensure that children's safety, permanency, and well-being needs are met. Duties include but are not limited to :

• Supervises staff conducting Children's Services functions o Makes hiring recommendations, orients and trains unit employees o Coaches and supervises unit employees
• Facilitates and participates in multi-disciplinary teams such as screening team to review child protection reports, child protection teams which include community partners, court consult with each County Attorney's Office, permanency / placement committees, Children's Justice Initiative with each county, etc.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to administer the child and family service work and continuously improves the service delivery system
• Assures all statutes, rules and regulations of children's services are effectively and professionally administered
• Monitors performance and outcomes measures for the child welfare and child protection practice
• Monitors program revenues and expenditures to ensure accurate reimbursements
• Collaborates with the management team to develop and meet strategic priorities for the division and agency
• Supports an environment of innovation and continuous improvement
• Accesses additional funding opportunities through grants to enhance resources available for children and families served by the agency
