Job Description :

Join a leading international logistics and freight forwarding company specializing in time-critical airfreight and aviation logistics. We are seeking a seasoned International Airfreight Operations Agent with in-depth knowledge of import / export, aviation, and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) procedures.

This is a hands-on role for a self-sufficient operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands the urgency and precision required to support aerospace and aviation clients. The position is based near DFW Airport, with hybrid flexibility available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

Manage full-cycle international airfreight shipments (import / export)

Handle AOG and time-critical aviation shipments with urgency and accuracy

Prepare and process shipping documentation : Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, AES filings, and export declarations

Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, brokers, and customers to coordinate freight movement

Provide direct customer quotes and manage cost procurement at a transactional level

Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs, TSA, IATA, and international trade regulations

Track, trace, and troubleshoot shipments proactively to ensure on-time delivery

Collaborate with internal operations, warehouse, and customer service teams

Qualifications :

3 5 years of international airfreight operations experience (import / export)

Strong background in aviation logistics and AOG shipment handling

Knowledge of IATA regulations, Incoterms, export documentation, and customs procedures

Proficiency with CargoWise, Magaya, or similar TMS platforms

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications :

Aviation or aerospace logistics experience

TSA certification or familiarity with Known Shipper requirements

Experience coordinating multi-modal shipments (air, truck, charter)

Vendor and carrier negotiation experience
