In the role of LVN / LPN, working under the guidance of providers and RNs, you will deliver essential clinical support and nursing care while adhering to established standards of practice. You will assess patient needs, contribute to care plans, and implement directed interventions for optimal patient health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver nursing duties as a Licensed Vocational / Practical Nurse, performing procedures including injections, medication administration, EKGs, and phlebotomy as per state regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing educational plans for patients and their families regarding common health issues.
  • Coordinate patient care according to directives from providers and RNs, managing referrals, medication, procedures, and follow-ups.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, chief complaints, and care records in adherence to policy.
  • Gather and relay patient medical information effectively via telephone.
  • Conduct focused nursing assessments, evaluate treatment responses, and communicate findings with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with OSHA standards, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Organize and maintain exam and treatment rooms, including sterilization of instruments.
  • Follow policies for medication management and laboratory procedures, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the healthcare team and enhance patient care.

Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current and unrestricted State Vocational / Practical Nursing license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain composed in emergency situations.
  • Experience administering medical procedures, injections, and phlebotomy.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with patients and healthcare colleagues.
  • If required by the clinic, obtain IV certification.
  • Pass Tuberculosis screening and provide proof of immunity to specific diseases.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • IV certification.
  • Two or more years of experience in a medical setting.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements :

  • Ability to lift and manage weights up to 35 pounds.
  • Capability to use fine motor skills for equipment operation.
  • Aptitude for receiving and understanding instructions both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze problems using logical reasoning.
  • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • The hourly pay range for this position is between $20.00 to $35.72 based on work experience, education, and other relevant factors, along with a comprehensive benefits package including recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
