We're seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer who is ready to take the lead on a variety of civil / site development projects. We have offices across North Carolina including Wilmington, Asheville, Hillsborough, and Raleigh. We're seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering thoughtful and effective civil / site design solutions. This position offers flexibility to work from any of our NC offices with a hybrid work environment that supports a healthy balance between collaboration and autonomy.

Responsibilities :

• Lead the planning, development, and execution of civil engineering projects with minimal supervision.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through regular communication, collaboration, and responsive problem-solving.
• Participate in the preparation and review of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Oversee and assign responsibilities to team members to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Perform detailed QA / QC checks on technical deliverables and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Navigate entitlement and permitting processes, including rezoning, special / conditional use permits, site plan approvals, and construction document approvals.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality output.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing, and coordination with sub-consultants.
• Support business development, participate in industry events and maintain existing client relationships.
