Distribution Associate

Job Summary

The Distribution Associate at Delasco is responsible for performing various roles within the warehouse, including order picking, packing, shipping and receiving-related tasks, as necessary. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to different tasks as needed to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. From time to time, the Distribution Associate may be responsible for unloading and unpacking product shipments, verifying the accuracy and quality of the items received, inputting formation into software systems used, labelling, and putting away of product inventory, in addition to other related tasks as deemed necessary by the Distribution Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs packing duties, including preparing products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Receives incoming shipments, verifies contents against purchase orders, and records inventory.
• Unpacks incoming shipments and inspects for quality concerns, communicating with Product Manager and / or vendor as required for damage, shortage, or backorder.
• Weighs packages, verifies product count, lot and / or serial number, and expiration dates against packing list and / or purchase order.
• Inputs daily shipments into the computer system and enters items into inventory in an accurate and timely manner.
• Prepares labels for incoming products, including bin location, lot, and serial numbers. Prints labels and places labels on products for shelving.
• Places labeled items in bins and shelves according to lot, serial number, and bin location. Verifies items are accurately placed in the appropriate location and rotates inventory according to expiration date, as necessary.
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks, using appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
• Prepares and processes outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Picks and fulfills warehouse orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintains inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory management processes.
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborates with team members to achieve daily production goals and meet customer demands.
• Identifies and reports any issues or discrepancies to the Distribution Manager.
• All other duties as assigned.
