American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) night shift position requiring recent CVICU and open heart surgical experience and licensure in WA or a compact state.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) managing patients with cardiovascular disease, pre / post Cath Lab and IR procedures, and fresh open heart surgeryPatient diagnoses include CABG, OHS, AAA, valvular repairs, and post-procedural careSpecial procedures include IABP, Impella, VAD's, pacemakers, epicardial pacer management, CRRT / dialysis, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and ECMOUse of specialized equipment including vasopressors and Maquet Datascope for balloon proceduresRequires floating between facilities within the state as neededUses Epic EMR; prior experience is preferredNight shift schedule : 3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30Staffing ratios are typically 1 : 1-2Responsible for advanced cardiovascular and post-surgical critical care, including use of specialized equipment and protocols such as ECMO, CRRT, and hypothermia protocolWill work in a unit with relatively unseasoned staff, so strong clinical skills and autonomy are essentialTravelers may be required to float between all Providence facilities in the state as assignment needs arise3-day orientation provided; certain competencies will be validatedNavy blue scrubs are requiredFirst time travelers with strong intensive CVICU experience are welcome to applyCandidates living within 50 miles of the facility are generally ineligible unless otherwise specifiedReturning staff must have been separated from any Providence Swedish facility for at least 3 months to be eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required prior to considerationMinimum 2.5 years of CVICU experience with current experience within the last 6 monthsACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex certifications requiredStrong cardiac surgical experience, including IABP and fresh open heart care, is requiredExperience with cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, sheath removal, and advanced IV therapy requiredExperience using hemodynamic monitoring devices and ventilator management requiredEpic EMR experience preferredMust provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years for compliance\n Benefits\n
