Facilities Manager

As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Production, R&D and office space client sites located in Lake County, Mettawa, & North Chicago, IL areas.

What you'll do :

• Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor.
• Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Schedule and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Coordinate and lead facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and lead capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
• Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety standard processes.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The compensation range is about $100,000 to $120,000 annual base salary plus 15% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications and experience.
