- We are seeking a General Manager 5 - Food for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital located in Washington, DC . MedStar Georgetown is one of the D.C. area's oldest academic teaching hospitals
- We are looking for an experienced leader with a passion for innovation, training, process improvement, and team building. This position will oversee all food services for the 609 licensed hospital, including, retail, patient, and catering services
- We offer a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Employees at our healthcare sites play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and well-being
What You’ll Do
Have oversight of day-to-day operationsDeliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operationsAchieve company and client financial targets and goalsDevelop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management)Develop strategic plansEnsure HACCP, regulatory and standards complianceWhat You Bring
A work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaborativelyGeneral Manager Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environmentExperience managing in an union environmentOutstanding client relationship skills and strong financial acumenThe ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer serviceThe ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as neededProficient in computer skills and report management experiencePosition Summary
Directs all contract management service operations at a single account / unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account. Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day-to-day operations.
