About the Job
We’re looking for a collaborative Senior Product Manager to join the growing Content team at Epic. Reporting to the VP of Content, this individual will play a critical role in partnering with Epic’s Engineering team in building meaningful reading experiences that engage children and drive measurable impact. This role is ideal for a senior product manager who thrives at the intersection of user needs, product development, and data-driven decision making–and who is passionate about shaping the future of reading for kids.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a high quality and engaging reading experience that ultimately leads to customer retention and acquisition
Drive the development and execution of the Content Product Roadmap which includes : Book discovery and search, the reading experience, and in-app reading features
Lead end-to-end cross-functional management and communication with Editorial, Design, Marketing, Research and Finance to design tests that are both feasible and meaningful
Manage sprint execution in an efficient manner
Define and track performance metrics to continuously iterate on features
Contribute to initiatives in personalization and AI-enhanced learning
Conduct weekly status updates, reporting on roadmap progress, flagging challenges and facilitating resolution
Requirements
5+ years of product management experience, ideally at a publishing, media or education company
Demonstrated ability to deliver products from concept to launch
Strong understanding of agile product development and user-centered design
Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Data-informed decision-maker with experience wielding analytics tools
Able to travel quarterly to California for a three-day period
Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience
Nice to Have
Bilingual in Mandarin; able to work with a global team across time zones
Passion for children’s books
Interest in empowering teachers and parents with best in class reading tools
Familiarity with gamification and adaptive learning
Background in UX, engineering, or data science

Compensation
Total compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually (including base salary and performance based bonus), depending on experience and alignment.
