• Standards of Practice : Guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, you will employ the nursing process encompassing assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.\n
• Assessment : Collect pertinent data and information relevant to the patient's health situation.\n
• Diagnosis : Analyze assessment data to identify actual and potential health issues.\n
• Outcomes Identification : Determine expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans.\n
• Planning : Design and adjust care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.\n
• Implementation : Put the identified care plan into action.\n
• Coordination of Care : Oversee the delivery of care and manage transitions.\n
• Health Teaching and Promotion : Implement strategies that foster health and safety.\n
• Evaluation : Assess the progress toward achieving outcomes.\n\nStandards of Professional Performance : You will also be expected to engage in professional activities such as ethical practice, culturally congruent care, effective communication, leadership, education, and quality evaluation, as outlined in the ANA Standards of Professional Performance.\n

• Environmental Health : Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : \nGraduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Must have current BCLS certification within one month of hire.\n\nExperience : \nPrevious RN experience is vital. All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n\nLicensure : \nCurrent RN license in Connecticut. Specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n\nPhysical Demands : \nThis role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, and involves physical, mental, and emotional challenges. There may be exposure to infectious diseases and situations involving end-of-life care. The RN must be capable of assisting patients weighing from five to three hundred pounds.\n\nAdditional Information\nTHIS POSITION IS COVERED BY THE CONNECTICUT HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATES COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT.\nOrthopedic RN experience preferred.\n\nYNHHS Requisition ID : 162257
