Experience :

Minimum 2 years of recent oncology experience required.

Experience with chemotherapy is preferred.

Active compact or state nursing license required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Oncology Nursing Society or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation certification preferred.

Must-Have :

Two years of recent experience in oncology is required.

Chemo certification is required upon hiring.

Description :

We are seeking an experienced oncology nurse with a strong background in chemotherapy administration.

The ideal candidate will work with medical surgical oncology patients including those with leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Responsibilities will include administering chemotherapy and blood products, monitoring patient responses, and providing patient and family education.

You will also handle care and management of central lines and ports, as well as managing PCA pumps.

Floating to meet unit needs may be required, including potential shifts on medical-surgical units.

Strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal lab values are essential.

The average daily census for the unit is approximately 25 patients, and the staffing ratio is 1 : 5 on nights.

The oncology team collaborates with interdisciplinary support to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend.
