Director of Learning, Development & Employee Retention
The Training and Development director directs the design, planning, and implementation of training required of accrediting agencies, local and federal regulations, Corporate, state specific requirements as well as facility requirements. Oversees the new hire and annual training programs as well as on-going competency-based education for all HCBHS staff. Additionally, the Director of Training and Development directs employee appreciation committee to include executing employee events and recognition for employee retention.

Qualifications
Qualifications :
Associate's Degree required . Bachekor's Degree Preferred
Three (3) or more years of related work experience in Employee training, development, and retention.
CPR Trainer Certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire) REQUIRED
HRCI / PHR / SPHR certification preferred
RN licensed to practice in the state of Alabama, preferred.

Essential Job Duties / Responsibilities % Of Time
1. Provides staff orientation and ongoing training in response to specific employee needs, regulatory compliance, federal, state, and local requirements :
2. Actively prepares and participates in regulatory surveys and ensures readiness and compliance.
3. Leads HR efforts in coordinating special training events, employee engagement activities, and programs.
4. Member of the Leadership team and participates in Leadership rounding, Flash meetings, survey meetings as requested, as well as other staff meetings 5%
5. Performs other duties as assigned / Assists sister facilities by serving as a trainer for handle with care and verbal de-escalation 5%
