Join GDIT and become a vital contributor as a Senior Cybersecurity Architect supporting the VA Enterprise Security Architecture (ESA) Modernization Support project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the cybersecurity readiness of Veteran's information and VA information systems. We are on a mission to enhance the resiliency of the VA cybersecurity infrastructure through proactive monitoring, adaptive responses, and adherence to Federal requirements and best practices while cultivating a top-notch cybersecurity workforce.
The ideal candidate will leverage extensive experience in coordinating with project leaders to analyze IT systems and network architecture, addressing requirements, risks, and issues effectively. You will be instrumental in crafting an architectural vision that drives success within the ESA leadership team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide guidance for system development and implementation planning through thorough assessment of engineering plans.
- Lead a team focused on technical design and engineering functions.
- Direct the organization to ensure alignment with technical objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Oversee the design of IT modernization and improvement projects, evaluating and planning methods of approach.
- Develop solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Provide leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision-making to project planning.
- Gain organizational commitment for high-level infrastructure plans and participate in technology evaluation projects.
- Ensure all activities align with overall organizational strategy and vision.
- Collaborate with teammates and VA counterparts on complex architectures, recommending improvements.
- Deconstruct and interpret requirements supporting team projects.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and evolving customer objectives.
- Adhere to best practices that exemplify superior Development & Engineering service delivery.
- Engage in architectural discussions for Future State Concepts and active projects.
- Brief stakeholders on project statuses and strategies.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience :
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of experience (substitutions can be made with additional relevant experience).Demonstrated experience in Information System Security Engineering.Expertise in enterprise architectures and security requirements, such as design patterns and security controls.Experience designing and developing large integrated systems for over three years.Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance (T4).US Citizenship is required, and applicants must meet customer facility COVID requirements.Desired Skills and Experience :
