Day shift : 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30), with every other weekend coverage.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse in the LTAC ICU will provide care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent interventions. Responsibilities include managing stable but critically ill patients who can rapidly change in condition. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team to implement effective patient care plans.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a variety of settings.

    • \n

  • Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient needs and care plans.

    • \n

  • Monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing IV therapies.

    • \n

  • Utilizing specialty equipment and devices for patient treatment and monitoring.

    • \n

  • Maintaining infection control and following isolation precautions as needed.

    • \n

  • Education and support for patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an LTAC or ICU setting.

    • \n

  • ACLS and BLS certifications are required.

    • \n

  • Experience with Cerner charting system is required.

    • \n

  • Preferred experience in trauma level I care, as well as with ventilator management.
