Overview :

A growing team is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure across both corporate offices and remote field locations. This role goes beyond traditional network support-you'll play a key part in securing and optimizing both IT and OT (Operational Technology) systems critical to field operations.

This is a hybrid role based in Fairmont, WV, with on-site work required three days per week. Occasional travel to remote field locations is expected.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure (LAN / WAN / Cloud).

Ensure high availability and reliability of network systems across corporate and field environments.

Configure and manage network hardware : switches, routers, firewalls, modems, VPNs, DHCP servers, etc.

Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and uptime.

Manage telecommunications vendors and monitor service delivery.

Control network and telecom-related costs and budgeting.

Provide on-call support for critical operations.

Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, IP address inventories, and change control logs.

Adhere to organizational IT policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in enterprise or industrial network engineering roles.

Hands-on experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or similar platforms).

Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, ACLs, and secure remote access.

Experience supporting remote field infrastructure, including technologies like VSAT, LTE, or long-range wireless.

Ability to work in both structured office environments and outdoor / field settings.
