Warehouse Supervisor
This role contributes to Basic American Foods success by effectively leading the warehousing and logistics focus of supply chain for the Moses Lake facility. The role will be responsible for managing storage, internal transportation, inventory accuracy, warehouse safety, and sanitation. Works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure efficient movement of materials to support plant operations, as well as finished goods shipments. Support Basic American Foods ability to deliver its on time delivery performance and fill rate goals. Lead the warehouse functional areas to meet objectives, goals, strategies, and measures in a way that is consistent with Basic American Foods core values and fosters engagement.
Essential Job Duties / Key Accountabilities
Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while embodying the tenets of "Our Values."
Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.
Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies. Regularly complete behavior-based safety observations. Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF 2000.
All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the warehouse area which includes, but not limited to, inventory coordinators, warehouse techs, and shipping clerks. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contract Management systems; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
