Foreperson (7A) - Hilo

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Supervises crews to obtain top-quality workmanship, efficiency, employee satisfaction, morale, communication, commitment, teamwork and pride .
• Coordinates, directs and leads workers engaged in plant activities. Assigns work to employees using material and worker requirements data .
• Regularly communicates with maintenance staff about repair and maintenance needs on all plants and major pieces of equipment .
• Relates to the public and to customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their complaints .
• Identifies the skill sets of all Oahu and neighbor island staff, establishes individualized development plans, and provides appropriate training to ensure competency of staff.
• Directly oversees and supervise all plant labor staff State-wide.
• Proactively solves problems by involving the appropriate parties, incorporating / utilizing the tools of process improvement.
• Establishes and maintains relationships to foster effective problem-solving with plant employees, shop and management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies.
• Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
